Environmentalists may not agree but officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) are wondering if they can still retain the greenery at Bhatti Mines, a proposed landfill site. The landfill site is spread over 1,400 acres and can take waste for about 30 years. There is no system of waste management in the MCD. They just collect and dispose it. Today they are looking at converting Bhatti Mines, tomorrow it will be some other protected forest area'.
