Bihar chief minister, Rabri Devi on Sunday announced that the Government would continue to distribute land among the landless across the State and ensure that the beneficiaries get actual possession of the land. She made the announcement while distributing 2133 acres of Government land among 17,093 landless people of six sub-divisions of Patna district. The Chief Minister said the Government had received complaints that the lands earlier distributed among the landless had been usurped by the landlords. To check this, the Government had issued instructions to district magistrates to ensure possession of land by the landless and initiate strict against the land grabbers.
