The Bihar government has decided to devolve administrative and supervisory powers to the newly-constituted three tier Panchayati Raj system in the state. The State Cabinet yesterday approved the proposal to hand over the work of supervising the functioning of Health,Education, Public Health Engineering and Rural Development departments the local level to the Panchayat bodies at the Panchayat representatives rally.
