Bihar orders probe into alleged illegal mining

The Bihar Government has ordered an enquiry into the alleged illegal mining in Nawada district, the Chief Minister, Mr Nitish Kumar, said today. The inquiry was ordered after a ruling JD(U) MLA, Mr Pradeep Kumar, alleged that volumes of mica worth crores of rupees were illegally brought out from the Bhankhap mines by local musslemen in connivance with state mines department officials. “Economic offences wing will conduct the inquiry and submit the report soon,” Mr Kumar said.
