Recognising the involvement of the builders in the massive loss of human lives in the recent Gujarat earthquake, the Union Government has decided to draft a Bill to regulate their activities. According to the Union Urban Development Minister, Jagmohan, the move comes as part of a three-pronged strategy to ensure habitat safety against natural disasters.
