The Union Ministry of Urban Affairs is preparing a Bill which will force builders and contractors to fulfill contractual obligations towards flat owners. The Bill, currently being considered by the Ministry, will also provide for promoters liability for construction of supporting infrastructure and common facilities. Officials say the Bill would have far reaching impact on the activities of the builders and promoters in the Capital.
