The Public Investment Board (PIB) has finally approved the much-delayed Bangalore metro rail project. The metro clearance has been given minus the assurance that the Centre will provide tax exemption. The tax exemptions sought by the Bangalore metro, which amount to Rs 492 crore, is likely to become a bone of contention between the State and the Centre.
