The NCR Planning Board has proposed the development of a blueprint for water resources in order to improve water supply in the National Capital Region. The blueprint will identify all potential surface water sources, ground water aquifers in the region and inter-basin transfer of water. Water mapping, desilting, augmentation of existing lakes/depressions for storage of rain/flood water, rain water harvesting, re-use and recycling of waste water, measures for conservation of water and integrated land and water management for the region will be undertaken in order to improve water supply.
