Ahmedabad: The beautiful bottle palm trees planted along the picturesque Kankaria Lake Front development (KLFD) during its inaugural year in 2008 are dying a slow death. There were over 300 bottle palm trees around Kankaria Lake but now a few survive. Municipal corporater Liquaqat Ghouri blamed AMC for sheer wastage of public money to appease Chief Minister Narendra Modi during KLFD inaugural carnival in December 2008. Ghouri said,
