The Brahmaputra river side along the busy Mahatma Gandhi Road, has again become a nauseating sight for passers-by as the Kamrup district administration authorities and the GMC seem to have abandoned their responsibility for the upkeep of the area. The area is back to its dubious reputation as being an open air latrine, as the vegabonds, labourers and others regularly use the area to relieve themselves.
