After the decision of the BJP Government To exclude Chamba town from the development control of the Town and Country Planning Department sometime ago, it is fast becoming a concrete slum. There is no check on the unruly and unwarranted constructions springing up in the thick of the town. The constructions are also springing up at the precarious hillsides, thereby giving rise to soil erosion and landslips around Chamba.
