Corporation Mayor C.M.Dinesh Mani said that the budget for the year 2005-06 is framed after considering all investment projects of Kochi. The budget gives emphasis to infrastructure development projects, general upkeep of the city and its environment, said the Mayor at a press conference after the budget was presented. The Mayor expressed his happiness over the Corporation's effort to acquire 103 acres at Brahmapuram for constructing a solid waste treatment plant.
