Budha Nullah: panel for health survey of people

In its preliminary findings, a committee on the Clean Budha Nullah Project, has suggested conducting a comprehensive ecological survey to ascertain the health effects of the pollution of the nullah besides drawing an intervention plan by water scientists, public health engineers, and soil scientists for a realistic, practical and one time solution to the problem. A meeting in this context was held yesterday in the office of Dr Daljit Singh, Principal, DMCH, which was attended by Mr D.S. Gill, chairperson, International Human Rights Organisation (IHRO) and two other representatives, Dr G.P.I. Singh, Prof & Head, Department of Community Medicine, DMCH, and Dr Raju Singh Chhina, Prof of Gastroenterology, DMCH.
