The Bangalore City Corporation (BCC) on Wednesday released a draft copy of revised by-laws, incorporating provisions that make rain harvesting and planting of at least two trees mandatory for all buildings that have built area of 200 sqm or more. All commercial and public buildings will also need to incorporate various disabled-friendly features. Besides, all multi-storied buildings and constructions, which are more than 15 metres tall, will need earthquake-proof technology - as per the National Building Code - as well as parking facilities with No Objection Certificates from relevant authorities.
