The Chief Minister has appealed to people to plant trees. Try planting one in your neighbourhood public park and you will know how serious the government is about its tree plantation drives. Chances are the gardener of the government's Horticulture Department will uproot the sapling, that is if he is not able to stop you from planting one. the reason, prior permission of the department concerned has to be sought before one ventures out to plant a tree on government land.
