The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewage Board (BWSSB) has identified and formulated steps to control pollution of the Bellandur tank. The BWSSB has taken up the reparation work of the two main trunk sewers in Challaghatta valley and Koramangala valley that drain out sewage into the Bellandur tank. The work initiated to avoid flow of sewage in the open storm water drains, is said to be complete by August 2004, thus directing the sewage to the sewage treatment plant at K & C valley.
