The California Forestry Department approved a two-year logging license for Pacific Lumber in a conditional agreement that lets state officials inspect harvest areas without warning. Jim Branham, Pacific Lumber's director of government relations, said the license also contains a series of other conditions, which include letting forestry officials attend private company harvest meetings.
