A campaign has been launched to make the Chitwan National Park (CNP) a plastic bags free zone. The campaign was launched on the occasion of the World Environment Day, said Park Spokesperson, Tikaram Poudel. Stating that we ourselves should take initiative for the environment conservation, Poudel said that there was a need of support of all in the campaign launched by the Park. Meanwhile, the Park provided Rs 500,000 scholarship to 50 children of those injured as well as killed in attacks of wildlife including tiger, rhino and elephant. The Park has launched a week-long programme from Wednesday where public awareness programme would be organised. RSS
