Hino Motors Ltd. has revealed it is working on a new catalyst that significantly lowers nitrogen oxide emissions from large diesel vehicles. Although the company is keeping the technical details close to its vest, it said it has already conducted experiments that confirm the new catalyst can cut such emissions by 25%. The company said it intends to continue with work to boost the performance even higher.
