The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started the inquiry into the tendu leaf case in Madhya Pradesh. Accepting the request of the State Government, the Union Ministry of Home has entrusted the case to the CBI to ascertain the possibility of Rs 212 crore loss to the State following the change in the tendy leaf policy by the then BJP-ruled State government in the year 1990.
