Hyderabad, Sept. 27: Climate change is said to be the reason behind the sudden surge in the rainfall and flooding. After the deadly 2009 floods, the state government started a climate change cell to study the impact on the river inflows. The state irrigation department in collaboration with the ministry of water resources on climate change has started a cell for initiating work on adaptation strategy under the impact of climate change on State water resources.
