Census finds 30 pc increase in households in State

The number of households in Karnataka has increased from 10.6 million in 1991 to 13.8 million in 2001, marking a growth of 30.3 per cent. Nine million houses are located in rural areas and the remaining 4.8 million in urban areas, according to the new data from census house-listing operations in the State.
