the Union Commerce Ministry has approved a scheme to help farmers in the ten coastal States to set up effluent treatment plants (ETP) with subsidy, as part of its drive to boost eco-friendly shrimp culture in a big way. The Nagpur-based National Envrionment Engineering Research Institute (Neeri) has designed the ETP systems which could be modified according to field requirements.
