The Union government on Wednesday offered support to the Delhi governemnt in acquiring 10,000 buses to modernise the ailing public transport system of the city. Making this offer, Union minister for environment and forests Suresh Prabhu said the new buses, running on clean fuel like Compressed Natural Gas, will replace the existing fleet of "out-moded and grossly polluting buses."
