The Ministry of Urban Development may move a legislation in Parliament to stop the demolition drive and sealing of shops in the Capital, being carried out by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) following the Supreme Court's order. The Central Government is also considering whether to seek six month's relief from the Supreme Court (SC) to notify the Master Plan for Delhi 2021. It would take the plea that it seeks to legislate simultaneously for the passing of the local area plans for different colonies of the city.
