The Centre is drawing up an ambitious plan for tribal women wherein they would get land for cultivating medicinal herbs and help produce medicines on a cooperative basis, Union minister of state for human resources development Sumitra Mahajan has said. Ms. Sumitra Mahajan rued that a rich stock of herbs in Sahyadri and the Himalayas was getting lost as they were neither being properly used nor protected.
