The Centre is working on a comprehensive Bill to tackle all aspects like unauthorised construction and commercialisation which have been ignored for decades, said Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy. Speaking after meeting a group of 14 Congress MLAs, Reddy said the government would also take into account the views of residents' welfare associations (RWAs) supporting the drive. The Supreme Court has already refused the Centre's plea to defer the sealing drive for six months. The government had maintained that a Bill would be considered only if the SC turns down its plea. But Ministry sources said the Bill will not look at total exoneration of the violators.
