CFC phaseout aid for 25 new units

Twenty five new Indian projects will get grants from the Montreal Protocol's multilateral fund to phase out the use of chlorofluorocarbons(CFC) and other ozone depleting substances in the 1999-2010 timeframe.The Protocol's executive committee (Excom) approved $5,277,204 as grant for these projects at its three-day meeting held in Montreal from July 14.The grants cover the aerosol, foam, halon, refrigeration, solvent and processing sectors.
