Leaders of Balochistan National Party (Awami) Kharan unit demanded of the government to ensure provision of compensation and other relief measures for farmers affected by Chaghi atomic blast. Addressing a news conference at the Quetta Press Club here on Friday, Sardar Jalil Sargalzai, district president BNP (Awami) Kharan unit and Muhammad Hayat Domki press secretary Kharan unit contended that in past. The government had announced compensation of millions of rupees for farmers affected by Chaghi atomic blast as nuclear radiation had damaged their crops and soil. They maintained that the government should install 500 tube-wells and other relief measures besides payment of compensation so that they could have a sight of relief.
