The ' City Beautiful', as Chandigarh is known as, today became a unique city when the Punjab Governor and Administrator of the Union Territory, J.F.R. Jacob, inaugurated a 24 hour free emergency phone service for children in need. the project is the outcome of the joint efforts of the Institute for Development and Communication and the Post-Graduate Institute for Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh.
