Charkoshe jungle dwindling fast

The government-owned Charkoshe Jungle in Morang and Sunsari districts of Nepal has been shrinking every year. The forest cover in the nearly 30 thousand hectare area is dwindling fast after the widespread destruction of forests. Thousands of cubic feet of timber and firewood are being taken out of the forest area every day and night with the involvement of local people and notorious smugglers.
