Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala's brother Pratap Singh has moved the SC seeking contempt action against the Centre and the Punjab government for disrespecting the apex court's orders to complete the construction of Sutlej-Yamuna Link canal in Punjab. The apex court recently rejected the Punjab government's petition seeking review of its judgment by which the Centre was asked to secure police help in completing the canal work so that parched Haryana could get its share of water.
