The micro watershed development programmes for sustainability of drinking water by means of recharging groundwater through artificial recharge structures, are giving encouraging results. the department of Mines and Geology is heartened by the outcome and the data obtained at two experimental micro watershed programmes conducted by it -one at Majjige Hosahalli in Devanahalli taluk and another at Bidarguppe at Anekal taluk in the Bangalore Urban district.
