Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Andhra Pradesh launched the ambitious Integrated Novel Development in Rural Areas and Model Municipal Areas (INDIRAMMA) scheme, aimed at effecting all-round development of rural and urban areas. Lauching the scheme at Padamara Kandriga village in Kapileswarapuram mandal, the Chief Minister said under the new Scheme pucca houses, electricity, drinking water, individual sanitary lavatories (ISL), road and transport facilities and pensions for widows, old age, handicapped persons, weavers would be provided in all villages for the next three years in a saturation mode. Reddy said that 35 per cent of the State's population did not own a house, while 66 per cent did not have ISL and 60 per cent houses in rural areas did not have power connections.
