In a state known for its scenic beauty and ladi-back lifestyles, bureaucrats in Meghalaya were in for a rude shock this morning. State chief secretary J P Singh today gave senior bureaucrats a dressing down for failing to enforce the Supreme Court ban on timber trade in the state.
