There is rise in child labour in Simour district . There are more than 200 children working as porters, cobblers, vehicle cleaners and at dhabas and shops. Children below the age of 14 come to Himachal Pradesh from Shillai, Kaffota, Nahan, Garhwal, besides Nepal, UP and Bihar. Some of these children get jobs in mines at Sataun near the bus stand.
