There has been a dramatic succession of deaths of child labourers in different occupations. Most of the deaths have been in industries/occupations that are legally prohibited which demonstrates the failure of child Labour Act.This is the conclusion of an non-governmental organisation, campaign Against Child Labour (CACL), after its three fact-finding teams, comprising representatives of trade unions, and activists, visited Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh to enquire into the deaths of five child labourers.
