Child Labour is rampant in the newly formed State of Jharkhand with nearly 50 per cent of the workforce comprising of children below 14 years, according to the data prepared by an NGO. The survey was conducted in industries like beedi making factory, brick kiln, agriculture fields, hotels, domestic help and other places. Most children below 14 years are involved in hotels and houses.
