China has kept pace with the development of green car technologies worldwide by making major progress in producing environmentally friendly automobiles. They include updating the widely used model 492 engine, spreading the use of electronic fuel ejection and ignition system in automobiles, and developing and commercializing catalytic convertors for reducing harmful gas emission.
