As many 28 cases of cholera have been reported in Mugalihal in Saundatti taluk of Belgaum district. The samples sent for the tests on December 3 have tested positive for Cholera. Declaring the village cholera-hit, the district administration has asked the villagers to take precautions to prevent the spread of the epidemic and it has also supplied the required medicines to Mugalihal and neighbouring villages. Patients, who were affected with cholera had reportedly consumed contaminated water.
