Air pollution in Dhaka has reached a very high level due to emissions of Suspended Particulate Materials (SPM) by the pollutant vehicles at an increasing rate. According to a recent survey conducted by the Department of Environment (DOE) on the air quality in Dhaka city the level of SPM has reached 2600 micrograms per cubic meter.
