The bio-diversity and ecological balance of Dhaka city has been threatened in the absence of necessary plantation policy despite the ongoing plantation programme by Dhaka City Corporation, sources said. The experts said the prevailing procedure of tree plantation specially in Dhaka caused a huge pollution in the city and increased the number of insects, affecting public health.
