Lucknow city forests will be developed under the housing schemes being run by the Housing and Development Board and development authorities in Uttar Pradesh. Secretary, Housing and Urban Planning, Jai Shankar Mishra said that a land area would be earmarked for the development of city forests in all the future housing schemes in the cities, specially in those cities which were covered by development authorities. The objective of this scheme is to increase the forest cover of the state and protect the environment.
