City students get tips on how to save power

Mumbai does not experience any load-shedding even as its less fortunate peripheral towns and cities face up to five hours a day. But it was the city school students who are being given lessons in energy conservation.
The Tata Power Company is reaching out to more than 25 schools in the city, imparting tips like using CFC bulbs, taking the staircase and switching off the lights when not required.
