The transport system in Kathmandu consists of a few thousand old and dilipidated buses and minibuses, hundreds of odd three wheelers those that emit more smoke than any petroleum vehicles. Private cars and taxis, although increasing in number, do not spew much smoke but there is no room for complacency.
