The Chief Minister, N.Chandrababu Naidu, has assured farmers in the cyclone hit areas of Guntur district that the Government would take necessary measures to alleviate their suffering. He has announced an ex gratia of Rs. 50,000 each to the kin of the deceased not covered by the 'Apatbandhu' scheme. those who are eligible as per the norms of the scheme would get compensation under that. Officially, the toll has been put at 10 in the district.
