CM declares war against vehicle pollution

In order to check atmospheric pollution, the Andhra Pradesh State governemnt has initiated steps for phasing out petrol-driven two-stroke engines in two-wheelers and three-wheelers, reducing all categories of vehicles with old engines and restricting the growth of diesel-driven autorickshaws and taxis. Vehicles, both government and private, would not be allowed to ply without Pollution under control (PUC) certificate, according to chief minsiter Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
