CM launches `School Chalen Ham' drive

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday formally launched the Praveshotsava under School Chalen Ham drive-2008 at village Jait in Sehore district on the first day of the new academic session today. The Chief Minister accompanied by his wife reached his home village Jait and applied a Tilak on the foreheads of children who got admitted in the school and as well as their parents as a mark of respect. He fondly took the tiny tots in his lap and blessed them with the advice to be regular and punctual in school. He also distributed textbooks to the students of 1st to XII class and cycles to girl students besides two sets of uniforms. The function was organised at the newly upgraded High School. The Chief Minister also planted samplings in the premises of High Schools at Dobi and Jait. He directed to carry out necessary construction works in the High School building. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that now no child of school going age would be out of school. Lack of funds would not be an obstacle in their education. Every possible assistance would be provided to children of all sections for education without any distinction. He said that development is not possible without education. Therefore, utmost attention is being paid to education in the state. The Chief Minister referred to the various welfare measures taken by the state government. He gave a patient hearing to the problems of people and directed the officers to solve them. He directed the officers to promptly complete the Ghat repair work. Prominent among those present on the occasion included the chairman of Warehousing Corporation Rajendra Singh Rajput, chairman of MARKFED Ramakant Bhargava, chairman of Textbooks Corporation Heeramani Mehra and public representatives and officers concerned.
