The 6th 'One day one lakh' tree plantation programme is being organised at Ponnal reserve forest, Shameerpet in Ranga Reddy district in Andhra Pradesh and five other sites simultaneously on Thursday. It was proposed to complete the balance planting by the end of September 2002. Out of the 90 hectares of land proposed to be planted, 40 hectares had already been completed, and the remaining 50 would be taken up on Friday.
