Delhi is not taking any chances with Sonia Vihar water treatment plant this time. Chief minister Sheila Dikshit will meet Union power minister P M Sayeed next week to discuss release of raw water from Tehri on time in December and has asked the Planning Commission to push Utaranchal and UP to cooperate with Delhi. Release of raw water from Sonia Vihar will depend on repair work of a damaged tunnel. According to Delhi Jal Board officials, the repair work has already started and is making good progress.
